The Town of Darien, under Republican leadership, has maintained low taxes while supporting one of the best school systems in the country, sustaining a high quality of life for its residents and providing meaningful services to our senior citizens.
The Darien Republican Town Committee (“RTC”) serves a critical role in identifying strong, dedicated volunteers who will continue to provide Darien with prudent and competent leadership locally, while seeking to foster that same kind of leadership in Hartford. We believe that ALL Darien residents are best served by a transparent, accountable, responsive and fiscally prudent government.
2021 will be a critical election year for our town as we continue to fend off state control. The Darien RTC is currently seeking qualified candidates to run for election in November to the Boards and Commissions that run our town so well. Prospective candidates must be registered Republicans in Darien and submit an application to the Darien RTC. Applicants approved and endorsed by the Darien RTC will receive campaign assistance throughout the election season.

The Darien RTC actively recruits and supports qualified candidates for Darien’s local boards, commissions, and elected offices. There are many ways you can volunteer your talent, skills, and time to the Darien community. To serve on a Darien board or commission, you must be a registered voter in the Town of Darien. While the Darien RTC usually recruits those who are registered as Republicans, it also recruits those who are registered as Unaffiliated voters for non-elected vacancies on boards and commissions. IMPORTANT: If you don't see a vacancy that appeals to you, please remember that the Darien RTC is always looking for qualified candidates who are willing and able to fill positions as they become available.
If you would like to serve on a particular board, commission, or in an elected office that's not listed on the Town of Darien's website, please complete and return an application form anyway, so the Darien RTC can be made aware of your interest in serving and can consider your application when the opportunity arises.
